“I travel not to go anywhere but to go. I travel for travel's sake.” ~ Robert Louis Stevenson
My second trip to Martha Brae was a solo one. I had to return. Its beauty had stained my memory since my last visit.
I saw so many gorgeous spots, and I wanted to return to capture it on camera.
I decided I would visit tow location n March 24, 2018. They were Breadnut Valley Falls in St Elizabeth and Martha Brae in Falmouth.
So I ventured to St Elizabeth downtown Kingston on a St.Elizabeth Coaster bus.
Upon reaching Santa Cruz, I got a taxi to Breadnut Valley, but I was unsuccessful because of poor planning.
I always get away with random trips, but my luck ran out that day. The owner of the property said he had a function and wasn't doing any tours.
I went back to Santa Crus got on a Falmouth Mini Van and off to Martha Brae.
Upon arriving at my final destination, I fell in love all over again. I must say, rafting on the Martha Brae River is the best experience ever. It's rejuvenated and peaceful.
It is located in the parish of Trelawny on the North course of Jamaica.
I have not done a lot of exploring in this parish, but I must get to it seeing the gem it holds.
On a handmade bamboo raft, I tranquilly cruise down this scenery three-mile river.
It was boarded by eye-catching plant life and beautiful animals.
I was relaxed taking in. This spectacular experience will forever haunt my memories.
As I cruise down the river hearing the music of the river, I saw several unusual birds. I even heard woodpeckers pecking away in the distance.
I had a romantic day with myself, one well deserved. With that said, you can enjoy the most romantic day with your significant other or with yourself as I did.
It's not just a romantic spot; it's also a spot for family and friends to spend the day having loads of fun.
The rafts are very powerful, so don't be scared by their appearance.
All the raft captains have padded cushions on the rafts thus making them comfortable. which will make the ride more relaxing
My raft captain asked if I wanted to take a swim, and I gladly jumped in. At this part of the river, the water is four feet deep.
Life jackets is available if I had any form of fear of the water.
If you want to know anything about Martha Brae River, don't be afraid to ask because I sure did.
I didn't wait for a rafter because he about eighty rafters employed.
My rafter offered his craft for sale, which was inexpensive. I bought a plate made from wood.
