Reasons why you should explore Blue Hole in St Ann
“WHERE TO NEXT?”
The popularity of social media has made it easier for enquiring nomads like myself to discover new parts of Jamaica, like Blue Hole in Ocho Rios St Ann.
I have been to Blue Hole in Oho Rios St Ann many times but February 2, 2019, is by far the best visit. It's because of the beautiful pictures taken which can be seen below.
I journeyed to Ocho Rios from downtown Kingston on a coaster bus to the parish of Saint Ann. I was super excited about this trip because, on my previous visit, I saw so many beautiful spots to explore and to create beautiful memories.
My final stop was the bus park in. Ocho Rios. I then took a Highgate Taxi. I asked for a stop at Thatch Hill main Road. I walked until I saw the JPS Power Station. I then proceeded right on a marl road. I was bombarded with tour guides but I just continued on my journey. I wanted someone I connected with and wasn't in any hurry for his next tour.
I made the first left turn down a series of steps.
In the end, all I saw was beauty in every form. I fell in love with nature for the millionth time.
I can’t get enough of my beautiful island Jamaica. No place like home is a true statement.
I proceeded to pay my entrance fee which was JMD500.00 and was assigned a tour guide. His name is Jamie Boreland. I told him I aimed to capture the beauty of Blue Hole on my Note 8 and I wanted him to be my photographer and he was all in.
We took pictures at the front of the property where there’s a popular rope you can swing on. I so wanted to but I was scared. I took my pictures in front of the rope instead. We then proceeded to the famous Blue Hole Falls. I was in for a treat on my way to the falls where I saw a lone vendor selling coconuts which are my favourite.
Jamie showing me how to swing from the rope. But my fear got the best of me.
You can contact Jamie at 876- 489-9811. You will thank me later.
I found so many hidden spots that visitors rarely explore.
Also, I saw other tour guides do brave dives and jump from a 20 feet high waterfall or the high popular pool.
This remote location has remained unspoiled which is just perfect. I took a swim in several of the small pools that are boarded with rocks and an abundant of greenery.
Jamie was great. You should book him for your visit to Blue Hole. He was super helpful and the best photographer. Well apart from my brother.
