My first time exploring the Majestic Raf Jam Waterfall
“Travel is never a matter of money but of courage” – Paulo Coelho
I have always wanted to visit Raf Jam Bed & Breakfast. I was hooked on visiting waterfalls.
The day came when and my coworker T'na visited Raf Jam. She showed me a picture of a waterfall that's at the property.
I called Raf Jam to reserve a day pass.
The cost was JMD 1,000.00 per person.
A restaurant is on the property. I brought my food because I travel on a budget🤣.
The cost for the day pass gave access to the entire property except for the rooms
I was so excited to visit . I had no idea a waterfall was at Raf Jam. I must say a big thank you to T'na for exploring Raf Jam Waterfalls.
Redlight District taxis parking was at Papine Gas Station behind UTECH . The fare was JMD 150.00.
I asked the taxi driver for a stop at Raf Jam. That stop was at Hopewell Road. Twenty minutes of walking required before reaching Raf Jam. The timing could be more or less. It depends on how fast of a walker you are.
Plenty Raf Jam signs were at different parts of the journey. Hence, it was easy to find the property.
There is a road, more like a track getting to the property. No need to worry about walking for twenty minutes.
I was ready to explore the waterfall when we arrived on the property.
The manager showed us the restroom, bar, waiting area, and the natural pools and pointed in the direction of the waterfall. She said it was about a five-minute hike.
She said the waterfall was pouring heavily. She indicated to approach with caution. She was right. The waterfall was beautiful but a bit scary but also scary.
The beauty of the waterfall was captured on my note 8. The water was freezing cold and majestic.
The rest of the day was spent at the natural pools relaxing before heading home.
I took plenty of photos like always. I hope you enjoy it.
Have you visited Raf Jam Waterfall?
