Big River in Lime Hall New Ground Below Higgins Town St Ann's Bay

My Instagram family is the best. I got a direct message on Instagram from Misskist. She knows my love for hidden gems especially waterfalls.

She told me about a waterfall/water slide near Lime Hall and Higgins Town in the Parish of Saint Ann.
After seeing the video misskist sent, of the waterfall, I could wait for the weekend to arrive.
I want to give a big thank you to misskist for telling me about Big River Waterfall.
The road that led to the shortcut and also the recording studio.
I asked my friend Tami if she knew about a waterfall near Lime Hall and Higgins Town in Saint Ann. She was unaware of this gem. I told her to asked persons she knew. She was not successful in getting the information I needed to visit the waterfall.
All the directions I needed were on a road map of Saint Ann that I downloaded from Google. Lime Hall was in Saint Ann's Bay.

Having a blast on my tour guide’s bicycle
My anticipation for the weekend grew strong. I was going to explore two hidden gems for the first time in one day. I’ve only visit Duppy Church, Noisy River and Beat Back Waterfalls in Manchester. Hence, I was happy to visit Gut River and Alligator Pond. Manchester does not have a lot of attractions. When I discover any gem in Manchester, I have to visit.
I took a minibus that was parked on the property of the gas station across from the Spanish Town Hospital.
Ten minutes later, the driver made his way out of Spanish Town onto the North-South Highway.
An hour and forty-five minutes later, the minibus was on the winding Fern Gully road.
Short cut through the bushed
My final stop was at the bus stop near the stoplight in Ocho Rios across from Turtle River Park. The bus fare from Spanish Town to Ocho Rios was JMD 500.00
I asked one of the taxi drivers at the bus stop that was loading his car with passengers where to get the taxis to Lime Hall.
When I got to Saint Ann's Bay, the taxi driver pointed to where the Lime Hall taxis were located which was across from the gas station. A vendor was at that exact spot.
I showed the driver the video of the river misskist sent me on Instagram. But he had no idea about the waterfall.
The vendor knew exactly where it was located. She gave the driver the directions.
The driver took me to Lime Hall in New Ground below Higgins Town at a cost of JMD200.00.
He drove on a narrow road for about ten minutes before he stopped at a narrow path near a recording studio.
He told me to walk until I saw a huge house on the hill. A Christian family lived there for years.
I decided to return to civilization after walking about ten minutes and seeing no one in sight.
There was only the sound of woodpeckers and other birds. There was also the sound of the river rushing to meet the waterfalls I traveled from Kingston to meet.
I decided I will return to Lime Hall because I had to visit Gut River. I had been waiting too long to make my visit to Gut River pass.
Something remarkable happened. I saw two men having a conversation. I decided to ask them about the waterfall.
They said the waterfall was close. I should have continued walking. I asked if they knew anyone willing to accompany me to the waterfall. They said yes.
Suddenly, Mr Fine, my tour guide was riding on a bicycle. The men stopped him and told him I wanted some company to the waterfall. He gladly followed me.
He gave me a ride on his bicycle which was so much fun.
I told him I was in a hurry. We took a shortcut through the bushes.
When we got to the waterfalls, I loved it so much. I was smiling so hard my cheeks hurt.
It's the perfect spot to relax, meditate, for a romantic date, a party, a picnic, a photo-shoot, etc.
I didn't have much time to take it all in because Gut River was waiting to be explored by yours truly.

Fine, the name of my tour guide said the name of the river is called Big River.
