The Mystical Allen Spring in Fonthill Saint Thomas

I've found love once more, in the forest of Fonthill Saint Thomas.
The first time I saw Allen Spring, I thought it was a waterfall. Elite Jamaica's Youtube channel introduced us.

I desperately wanted to visit. It was like I could feel its mystical powers through the phone.
I've passed the district of Fonthill to explore the spectacular Copper Hole in Georgia District.
I decided to send Elite Jamaica a message on Instagram querying the location of Allen Spring. My questions went unanswered.
I decided to scroll through the comments on the YouTube video.

I was successful in finding out Allen Spring was the beauty I was so madly obsessed over.
I ask my co-worker, Ms.Bogle if she knew anyone in Fonthill that could give her the exact location on Allen Spring. She said no.
I decided to venture to St.Thomas with the information I had on Allen Spring.
I left my home at 6:00 AM to Downtown Kingston where I took a Morant Bay Coaster bus costing JMD 250.00
These buses can found on Orange Street across from Saint William's Grant Park. If you know the famous "Big Tree", the buses are park in front of it. You will hear conductors shouting, "Morant Bay, two and ready".
I fell asleep on the bus to Morant Bay. When I woke up, I found myself where the Bath Fountain taxis are parked.
Luckily, the bus wasn't heading to Portland. The bus return to the Morant Bay bus Park where it waits for a few minutes for passengers and head to downtown Kingston.
Across from a Chinese wholesale that is very close to the Morant Bay taxi park, is a property where the downtown taxis are parked. Also, Fonthill, Hillside, Seafort, Trinityville, and Georgia Taxis.
A Tax Office and a farm store are also on the property. You will hear taxi drivers shouting their destinations.
I didn't wait long for a Fonthill taxi. When I visited Cooper Hole in Georgia, I waited hours. I waited a few minutes before a minivan came. I was his only passenger leaving Morant Bay.
These cows were in the road.
When we got to York, he got another passenger.
Upon leaving Seafort, you will see a sign marked Reggae Fall. Take the left unto the bridge. I have been to Reggae Fall many times when I first started exploring Jamaica. I couldn't get enough of it's beauty. I think it's time for a revisit. Don't you think?
We passed Serge Island Limited, the communities of Danvers Pen and Coley before seeing three signs. One marked, Welcome to Fonthill.
The driver continued without turning until he got to Fonthill Square. The cost from Morant Bay to Fonthill Square was JMD 150.00.
I asked the driver if he knew anyone that was would be willing to accompany me to the river at a cost. He said yes.

He went to call the person he said he trusted the most. His name was Dexter. The irony when I remembered the series, Dexter. I laughed to myself and said silently, Dexter only killed murderers.
Dexter was great. I couldn't ask for a better tour guide. He was my videographer and photographer.
He even recommended some pose. He gave me a brief history of the community and about himself. He's a farmer. He also does tours on the regular to the Allen Spring.
The hike to Allen Spring is about ten minutes. I took fifteen because I am not familiar with the area. I had to be careful through vegetation.
Seeing the Allen Spring for the first time was nothing short of spectacular.
Dexter suggested I explored the dam first. It was seconds away from Allen Spring. We walked the path where the river once flowed. It pains my heart when I see the river changes its course. Then it comforts me because nature knows what she's doing.
When we got to the dam, I never wanted to leave. Saint Thomas is quickly growing on me, slowly stealing my heart away from Portland.
After swimming, playing, and taking plenty of pictures in the water, we went to explore Allen Spring.
The sun reflected different shades of light and dimmed when I needed to.
Dexter helped me to perfect my swimming. Not going to lie, Dexter's photography skill better than I even imagined.

I would return to Allen Spring even though the water was cold.
Dexter said the river wasn't at its finest because of the lack of rainfall. He said it's magical when there's heavy rainfall.
He said there's a myth that the water has healing powers. You know I had to drink until my belly was full.
The mystical powers of the water had me planning my return to Allen Spring on my way home.
