I Cheated Again. Orchid Waterfall in St.Andrew was too gorgeous to resist

Simone Kist strikes again with another hidden gem in the parish of St.Andrew.
I’ve seen a few Instagram posts of a waterfall in Gordon Town St. Andrew that I was curious about.
I did some serious detective work to see a full picture of the waterfall.
Direction to Enfield taxis.
Every feed that I scrolled through on Instagram did not have a full image.
Hence, I decided to venture to Gordon Town to capture this waterfall in its entirety.
I didn’t have a date plan until Simone Kist sent me one of the Instagram pages I was scrolling through.
I told her I knew about the location. I’m not sure if the waterfall is a small spring.

Then she sent me a picture of the waterfall. I almost fainted. I couldn’t believe I was going to have another waterfall affair.
Norris is going to be so mad when I visitor tells him I cheated on him in Gordon Town.
At this point, I didn’t care. I believe love is abundant, and other waterfalls need love too especially when they are sexy Warisha, Big Spring, Norris, Daren, and Cromwell to name a few.
I believe Simone can read my thoughts at this point in our friendhip. The moment I started searching for this gem, she sent me the information I desperately needed.

The name of the location is Pretty Close is the Parish of St.Andrew. I call to make arrangements to visit the waterfall.
The owner was very professional. Even my niece Bryanna was impressed with how he did business. I told him I wanted to be at the location by 7:00 AM even though he opens for business at 9:00 AM.
He also prepares breakfast and lunch for visitors. He just needs to know in advance.
My brother and I venture to Gordon Town via taxi to discover the secret gem that is nestled in the hills of Gordon Town.
It’s always a vibe with my brother. We connect on so many levels when we search for hidden gems.
Best travel partner ever. Our energy aligns perfectly. I would explore galaxies with this human. Love you to the moon and back bro AKA Prince which is his name.

We took a taxi to Papine Square. Then we continue to the Texaco gas station where we got a taxi to Enfield.
When we got to the property the owner whose name is Omar AKA Ramo greeted us. We felt extremely welcome. Almost like family.
I instantly connected with him. I loved his energy, very pure indeed.
We met Lucy, a smart dog belonging to Ramon. She’s very friendly.
We started the hike instantly because I wanted the perfect lighting when I’m taking my photos. The hike was around ten to fifteen minutes.

Upon reaching, I thought I teleported to a waterfall I saw on integral that was located in Ghana. I was spellbound.
Ramo said the name of the waterfall was Orchid. This name was given because a lot of Orchids grow in the surrounding area.
I don’t regret cheating on Norris with Orchid.
It’s never a dull moment when I visit waterfalls. I’m always in shock at their beauty.
The taxi turned at this point. We didn’t the exact location so we had to pay JMD200.00 more. We actually walked to Miss Lue statue for after explore Pretty Close.
Nothing beats hiking to a waterfall early in the morning to witness the magic.
I don’t know about you guys, but travel completes me.
This trip was a real getaway. We had Orchid fall all to ourselves. It was so lovely and peaceful.
Nestled in the hills of St. Andrew. It was a beautiful spot to just unwind.
We took a lot of photos. My brother and Ramo were videographers and photographers.
Entrance fee is JMD500.00 per person.

Let me just say this, the water was icy cold. My brother did not attempt to take a dip. That’s how scared he was.
The property is very spacious. You can find tour own spot to relax if the location gets too crowded or do what I do, visit early in the morning.

But I cannot help myself. I have to feel the water caressing my body. I did not travel so far to just look at water flowing. No way will that ever happen.
Heading to Orchid Waterfall
If you live in Kingston and St.Andrew, Pretty Close is a not far but a Pretty Close location to visit.
I climbed Orchid for a few pictures. The struggle was real. My brother could not stop laughing.
I had a difficult time getting to the top but I did not stop until I got to the top. Well not the exact top but PRETTY CLOSE NOT FAR.
I was shivering. But I loved every moment of it.
Returning to the entrance, Ramo told us about how he started his business. I will not spoil this story for you. When you visit, Ramo will tell you all about it.
Ramo is a man of many talents. He’s a farmer, loves crocheting, and he found love, sharing nature with Jamaicans and people from around the world.
Ramon showed us his famous coffee that smelled wonderful. You can purchase your coffee on spot.
The property is huge. Perfect for a picnic, to relax and have fun with family and friends.
Also, to get inspiration when i’m on the property. I go there to write, relax, have fun, meditate, dream, and manifest beautiful things I need in my life.
Everyday day I wake up, I thank the stars I get to call Jamaica my home.
