''Loving You Is Easy and Its feels So Right To Me.'' - Keznamdi
Waterfall number one was pure bliss. With every step deeper into the heart of Spring Bank, I found myself falling even more in love with Jamaica’s off-the-beaten-path treasures. There’s something about untouched nature that pulls you in — the kind of peace that clears your mind and resets your spirit.
Exploring Hidden Gems with the members of the Spring Bank Community
Nature really does have everything we want and more. The air was crisp and fresh, fruit trees lined the way, and there was a calmness that made me want to stay forever. I could feel my soul stretching, relaxing, and soaking it all in. I love being in nature — it reminds me of who I really am beneath all the noise.
We continued our journey to the next waterfall, which was only a few minutes away. This time, we hiked upstream, following the river’s gentle pull until we came upon a smaller, but equally enchanting waterfall. Its shape was uniquely beautiful, and I couldn’t resist sitting on the stone where the water poured past me on its way to its next destination.
The moment called for a photoshoot — and not just for me. I got my tour guides involved, and they were more than happy to pose and play along. Their joy mirrored mine, a reminder that these experiences are best shared with people who appreciate the land just as much as you do.
As I perched on the rock with the cool stream flowing beneath me, my mind wandered to the similarities between Spring Bank and Millbank. Both communities are cradled by rivers and waterfalls — places overflowing with potential for healing, peace, and rediscovery.
If anyone out there knows how I can secure land in these areas, please reach out! These places are calling to me. They are perfect for rest, for creativity, for finding yourself.
While sitting on that rock, surrounded by nature’s perfect design, I couldn’t help but wonder why we humans complicate life so much.
Out here, things feel simple — and maybe that’s the way life was always meant to be. Nature humbles you. It puts everything into perspective.
Before we moved on, one of the guides mentioned the presence of wild pigs in the area. But with their machetes in hand and decades of experience navigating these hills, I felt safe and confident in our journey ahead.
Eager to meet the next hidden wonder, we pressed forward. My heart raced with excitement, knowing that even more beauty lay just around the bend.
There’s something magical about chasing waterfalls — especially ones untouched by crowds and tourism.
It’s not just about the water; it’s about the journey, the people, the moments of silence, and the realizations that come when you're surrounded by the raw beauty of Jamaica.
