“Failure Will Never Overtake Me If My Determination To Succeed Is Strong Enough.” – Og Mandino
One of the many waterfalls that I have visited in Manchioneal Portland was Reach Fall. The journey was super long because Rosheena and I just started exploring our home Jamaica and we weren't familiar with the shorter routes.
Turtle Bay was the next destination in the community in Manchioneal that I visited. This location was unexpected. It was breathtaking.
A YouTuber by the name of Drizzy Burke introduced me to the beautiful Cromwell Falls. It had a jungle vibe and a beautiful waterfall that I so ever crave. I had to visit.
I've made many attempts to visit Cromwell Fall. Big River in St Ann put a halt on my trip to Manchioneal. Whenever I find a hidden gem in a tourisy Parish like Saint Ann, it's a must-visit.
Abby and I decided to venture to Manchioneal via the Saint Thomas Route. We took a Saint Thomas coaster bus in Downtown Kingston costing JMD250.00 to Morant Bay.
The final stop was at a crossroads in Morant Bay. We turned left and continue straight to a security post. We continued on a narrow road which led us to the Portland buse stop.
We only walked for about five minutes before seeing the buses parked alongside the narrow road we were on.
Traveling via private transport, continue driving straight.
I showed the bus driver a video of Cromwell Fall. He said he knew it. I asked if he knew someone from the community that would be our tour guide. He said yes.
Abby and myself have been obsessed with Cromwell Fall for weeks. We were finally on our way to bask in its beauty.
I've taken this route to explore Copper Hole, Turtle Bay in Long Road, Great Huts, Sunning Hill, Fish Dunn, Bath Botanical Garden, Bath Fountain, Folly Ruins, Frenchman's Cove, Morant Bay Lighthouse, Diamond Beach, etc.
We drove Lysson, Retreat, Leith Hall, Port Morant, Hectors River, Happy Grove, and Long Road before we got to Manchioneal.
Seconds after passing Manchioneal Epping Service Station, the bus stopped at Ray Bridge Crossing. He pointed to a lady who was walking towards us. He stated her name was Karen. She agreed to be our tour guide.
We continued on Ray Bridge Bottom Road until we came upon a crossroad. We continued left into the jungle to Cromwell Fall.
I asked Karen why the waterfall was called Cromwell. She said because it's in a community called Cromwell.
Karen kids accompany us. They were so excited to be on camera.
The hike to the fall was about ten minutes if you don't stop to capture every moment of paradise like we did.
Seeing the Cromwell Fall for the first time, I felt like I teleported to another dimension. Perfection in every sense of the word. Love at first glance. I had a waterfall organsm at that moment.
My heart skipped so many beats seeing the beauty of beautiful Cromwell Fall.
I loved the jungle vibe it gave. The water had so many shades of blue when the sunlight hit the surface.
I was in waterfall's heaven. I would live in Manchioneal to be in the presence of such beauty.
I felt peace, happiness, and love. Many positive emotions ran through my body. These are some of the reasons why I love exploring.
We created so many memories. I live for days like these.
I never wanted to go in the water entirely because it was too cold. Abby made the water seems like the perfect temperature.

It wasn't until I decided to take a picture floating, I felt how great it was to be full covered by the water. I never wanted to get out.
The kids could not wait for us to finish taking photos to jump in the icy cold water.
We only spent a couple of hours because we took public transport. We couldn't afford to take the bus leave without us.
The next visit to Crumwell Fall will be mind-blowing.
I felt weird to have Karen on this journey because I am accustomed to male tour guides. Those feelings disappeared when I saw how calm and helpful she was.
There were times when Abby and I were having fun being crazy; Karen could not help but laughed. I'm glad we could put a big smile on her face. I could she loved our energy.
