I haven't been on any social media in months, ever since I took up crocheting. I have an uncanny knack for unearthing hidden information. First, I'll tell you a story about a waterfall in the poorest parish in Jamaica. Who knew that St. Thomas was the gateway to paradise? Norris Spring waterfall has recently become my favorite place on earth, all thanks to @downdiroadja. After wandering for a while, I located Norris Spring.
Norris It was a little time before we located spring. It was almost the weekend. My heart ached to behold the mystical cascade. Last but not least, it's Friday. My gear included footwear, apparel, insect repellent, a basic medical kit, and bottled water. Since there were no changing facilities, I ended up wearing my swimsuit under my clothes. I couldn't change into my swimsuit because I don't have access to a car.
Since I didn't have access to a car, I was unable to change into my swimsuit. I had trouble sleeping because I was looking forward to seeing my new lover, Thomas. I was unprepared for Norris Falls on St. Thomas. Like many Jamaicans, I fail to appreciate the natural beauty of the hills in this ancient parish. St. Thomas locals avoid the hills in fear of Obeah legends. I was very interested in introducing Jamaicans to the splendor of St. Thomas.
My coworker Mrs. Bogle was kind enough to tell me where to find Gutter Head in St. Thomas. Her response was affirmative. She suggested that I catch a taxi to Gutter Head from Poor Man's Corner in Yallahs.
Since I got there early, nobody was out harvesting mangoes to take to the market. I looked for a person to go to the waterfall with for about five minutes before finally asking one of the men if he knew anyone who would go with me. He was hesitant at first, but after hearing my offer of payment, he quickly called his son to see if he was up for the 10-minute hike. While on a hike together, we witnessed a miracle. Over the course of several hours, Jahiem led, photographed, and filmed me. I agreed to write about off-the-beaten-path places and paid him in advance.
A Jamaican proverb states, "Encouragement Sweetens Labor." To motivate him for the hike, I gave him money. We descended, climbed, and forded a river.
We waded across the water and went downriver. Finding unexpected treasures is so rewarding; I was reminded of that. The most stunning waterfall in St. Thomas was in view. The sight of Norris Spring brought to mind the catchy tune "I love you for infinity," which is widely used on the video sharing platform TikTok. For a few hours, seeing Norris was like a vacation from my worries.
Seeing Norris immediately put me at ease. The scenery was breathtaking. It's very touching. In Yallahs' hills, I pictured myself having dinner with Norris. Waterfalls never get old for me. The feeling is unexplainable. It's impossible to forget Norris Spring. A mystical locale. The hike to the enchanted forest was incredible. Norris Spring captivated me, and I pondered what it might reveal about Norris in the form of a waterfall.
If Norris Spring could talk, I wanted to know what it would have to say about him. A beautiful moment in St. Thomas history. Before I discovered Norris Spring, Cooper Hole and Allan Spring were my favorites. The beauty of Norris Spring exceeded my expectations. Everyone has a unique set of dreams. I hope to spend more time exploring the island in search of hidden waterfalls.
I'm hoping to find some time to go waterfall chasing on the island. Norris was handsome, the stream was picturesque, and we were the only ones there, so this hike got a perfect score. During the technical portion of the hike, I was responsible for transporting my niece and nephew.
