After hiking for over an hour, I was finally rewarded with a view of the first waterfall on the Bagaboo River.
It was majestic and captivating. The waterfall flowed gracefully into a large, beautiful pool below, leaving me utterly mesmerized.
Feeling an intense connection to this place, I decided to name it after myself: Lilli Waterfall.
It was the first time I ever felt compelled to name a waterfall, and I believe I made the right choice.
The area isn't well-documented, and few venture into this part of St. Thomas due to the challenging terrain. I knew this waterfall had no name.
A farmer jokingly suggested I should carry the waterfall with me because of how entranced I was by its beauty.
Of course, I went in for a swim, took loads of photos, and then continued my search for the main attraction, Bagaboo Waterfall. However, my thoughts kept drifting back to Lilli.
When I finally found Bagaboo, I was equally impressed by its uniqueness.
I felt transported to another realm, surrounded by birds, butterflies, and plenty of fish—a healthy ecosystem.
I wasted no time climbing what I believed to be the highest waterfall in St. Thomas—Bagaboo Waterfall, not White Rock Waterfall.
I became so immersed in the beauty around me that I momentarily forgot about Kingston and the rest of Jamaica.
Before ending my adventure, I returned to Lilli Waterfall to spend a few more moments there.
I swam, laughed, and relaxed in the perfectly tempered water. Indeed, difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations, and I can attest to that.
