Little Dunn's River

My second visit to little Dunn's River in Saint Ann

“Ocean air, salty hair”

I wanted so badly to revisit Little Dunn’s River because my first visit was sight-seeing and it was packed to capacity.

I’ve visited Dunn’s River Falls and I didn’t have enough time to venture to Little Dunns River.

Entrance and Exit

I finally decided to revisit this untouched gem with my niece Bryanna and I decided to visit Little Dunn’s River and Laughing Waters that was minutes away.

We took an Ocho Rios coaster bus in Downtown Kingston costing JMD 500.00 person. The bus drove on the North-South High Way through Fern Gully.

We then took a discovery Bay taxi after reaching Turtle River Park at the roundabout.

We passed Dolphin Cove and Dunn’s River Falls before reaching Little Dunn’s River.

Little Dunn's River is located across from Mystic Mountains along the A3 main road.

I asked one of the men I saw washing cars where was the entrance to Little Dunn's River.

He pointed to two sections of the Belmont property fence that had a large hole in them.

He told us to walk through the one we preferred to get to the river and the beach.

After entering the property, we saw a vendor. We asked her if we could proceed to the attraction and she said yes.

We continued down dirt steps to get to the beach and the waterfall.

We got to the property at 9:00.AM hence there was no crowd. There was only a Rasta Man enjoying nature.

Little Dunn’s River and Laughing Waters remind me of Frenchman’s Cove in Portland. They all have beaches and rivers.

The attraction has little sand. There is a mixture of cool and warm water because the river empties into the sea.

I love this location because of its untouched state.

We spend twenty minutes and continued our journey to Laughing Waters.
