My first visit to Turtle River Falls and Gardens

‘The river is constantly turning and bending and you never know where it's going to go and where you'll wind up. Following the bend in the river and staying on your own path means that you are on the right track. Don't let anyone deter you from that’. Eartha Kitt

My first trip to Turtle River Falls and Garden was with my family. My main aim was to take a lot of photos when but on September 2, 2017 that wasn’t the case. That day I spent with my family just enjoying their company. I tried taking a few pictures and I was glad that I did.

I asked a taxi driver for directions, and he told us he would charge us 600 JMD to carry us straight to our destination. We agreed. He turned onto Eden Bower Road, passed Evita’s Italian Restaurant, and followed the high walls that lined the street. We soon encounter a dirty hand-painted sign stating “No Littering Please!” and just a short journey beyond was the ground of Turtle River Park Falls and Garden.

The friendly security guard welcomed us and was super nice. He directed us to the reception area to pay the entry fee of JMD $1,200 JMD.

There is a vast beautiful lawn known as the "The Great Lawn" that is perfect for picnics. Also, a bandstand is available that can be used for wedding ceremonies in a beautiful tropical setting.

I am definitely revisiting this stunning location to search for all of its hidden beauty. I am always satisfied when I visit the garden parish of Jamaica.
