In the rural community of Bath in the parish of Saint Thomas is the home of Jamaica's oldest Botanical Garden that was founded in 1779.
Ackee, Breadfruit, and Cinnamon are a few imported foods that Jamaica has adopted were planted at Bath Botanical Garden first.
Fish Dunn Waterfall and Bath Mineral Spring were my first stop before visiting Bath Botanical Garden.
Bath Botanical Garden is the second public garden that I have visited. Castleton Garden being the first and Hope Garden being the third. I have yet to visit Cinchora Botanical Garden.
Bath Botanical Garden is not well-maintained. I encourage you to take a visit to experience a piece of Jamaica's history.
Bath Botanical Garden is located on the left, opposite the Bath Methodist Church.
The Bath Botanical Garden is open every day from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm. Also, there is no entry fee.
Benches are available and a gazebo.
There was a shop located across from the garden just in case you need to purchase snacks.
The other visitors I saw were members of the community.
They were under the gazebo combing each other's hair.
It was a day well spent in the Parish of Saint Thomas.
