My excitement at learning about the waterfalls on the Rio Sombre River in St. Mary from Simone was tempered by the fact that I already had a long list of waterfalls I wanted to see. Larry's waterfall, posted by @Ktaylor_abn of @firstviewexcursions, caught my eye as I scrolled through Instagram. My YouTube channel will feature content showcasing enjoyable adventures in St Mary.
Those pictures started to stick, however subtly, to the ever-expanding mental map of potential vacation destinations I informed Simone that I saw the beauty that she was referring to in St. Mary, which I started gushing about.
I've driven right past St. Mary many times over the years without ever stopping. Even though I've been in this area for quite some time and have travelled extensively, I'm still awestruck by this place. Wow, you guys, I was totally taken aback by St. Mary. Finally, I could go see Larry waterfall.
The best of everything can be found in St. Mary's, from rich cultural heritage to breath taking natural scenery.
No matter how many times I go to St. Mary, I always leave with my mouth agape from awe and confusion. In terms of securing the most visually appealing piece of Jamaica, they seriously lucked out.
I apologize, but the rest of Jamaica has my undying enmity.

St. Mary's beauty is unparalleled. I keep coming back to this location.
There must be someplace in Jamaica that has left an indelible mark on each of us, a place that we keep returning to no matter how many times we've been there. For me, St. Mary is everything that and more.
I could tell you many tales from my travels, but I've chosen to focus on one of my most beloved parishes.
I present a few of my most beloved images from among the thousands I took on my recent trip to St. Mary, in the hopes that they will arouse in you a similar passion Larry Waterfall as they did in me. All digits crossed!
Through my investigations, I learned that Dressikee is home to the settlement of Larry Falls. When the chance to go back to St.Mary and see Larry Waterfall presented itself, I didn't hesitate for a second.
I took a minivan from Spanish Town to Ocho Rios. I then continued my journey to the community of Gayle. I hoped for another taxi to the community of Dressikee on Mile Gully Road. I waited around until I saw a gentle man who was willing to assist me to the waterfall, which I gladly accepted.
We went through a huge gate onto the property, where we found a number of horses grazing. Natural swimming pools known as Hanna, Carty, and Long Hole are among the sights we pass on our way. Community members voted on the names for the natural swimming pools.
A few of the waterfalls I saw were completely dry. My guide told me that only a lot of rain could revive them.

My visit to Larry Waterfall was like entering a fairy tale. Nothing about it rang true. There was an excess of colour, tranquility, and perfection. I have always been fascinated by the story of St. MaryMary has always fascinated me over the years.
Before heading home, I took a slew of photographs and videos.
Mile Gully is a small community in the Parish of St. Mary, situated about 5 kilometers southeast of Gayle, the closest major commercial center. Silver Spring and the Rio Sambre are two of the local streams that people use for washing and bathing in addition to water gathered from standpipes.
The town sits in the Blue Mountain North hydrologic basin, specifically the Rio Nuevo watershed. Surface water from the Rio Nuevo and its tributaries is the area's primary resource.
The Silver Spring is fed by a small limestone aquifer. The spring feeds the Rio Sambre, a significant tributary of the Rio Nuevo, with groundwater.
