Exploring White Spring in St. Mary: A Bittersweet Adventure

Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience.

Sometimes, adventures come with unexpected lessons, and this trip to White Spring in St. Mary was a mix of breathtaking beauty, shared laughs, and a little heartbreak. Jess and I returned to one of my favorite spots, and while it wasn’t all smooth sailing, the magic of the place made it worth every twist and turn.

We kicked off our day with a bowl of rich, perfectly spiced peanut porridge at a roadside spot

. It wasn’t overly sweet—just the way I like it—and gave us the energy boost we needed for the winding drive along Junction road.

Our first unplanned stop was at a quaint mini-farm lined with towering banana trees. The greenery was lush and vibrant, a true testament to the beauty of the countryside.

Later, we paused again to marvel at the panoramic view of the mountains and sky, with Jess even flying her drone to capture the scenery. We snapped a few photos, enjoying the peaceful vibes. You can watch Jess's YouTube video for an aerial glimpse of this magical day.

The drive itself was an adventure, filled with captivating views of the sky and mountains. The blue morning skies, dotted with playful clouds, made for picturesque moments that reminded me why I adore early-morning adventures.

When we arrived at White Spring, finding the trail was an adventure in itself. The entrance was overgrown with plants, and we needed guidance from a kind local to get back on track.

Jess accidentally took a wrong turn with her luggage, which added to the fun chaos of the morning, but soon we were back on the path, ready for what lay ahead.

Though the surface was uneven and not ideal for setting up, Jess managed to make it work while I got busy snapping photos.

The natural lighting was perfect, highlighting the clean, rushing water.

I felt like I was seeing this spot for the first time, even though it was my second visit.

Each photo felt unique, and I couldn’t stop myself from capturing shot after shot.

Standing on a tree to get some creative angles, and it truly felt like nature had given me a masterpiece.

I captured shot after shot. Every perspective felt stunning.

The surrounding greenery created a scene that was nothing short of magical.

This spot has a way of capturing your heart—I was completely in awe.

The gorgeous waterfall spilling into a serene pool was everything and more.

Jess and I were both in our element, and the day seemed perfect.

The beauty of this place never fades.

Everything was going smoothly until I decided to explore another area. The trail was steep, rocky, and slippery. While vlogging and losing focus, disaster struck—my phone slipped from my hands and fell into the river.

I panicked and shouted for Jess, who came to my rescue. She bravely searched the water and found my phone, but it was already damaged. My heart sank. This was a hard reminder that even in the excitement of capturing the moment, I needed to stay cautious.

Feeling upset, I retreated to the car, leaving Jess to continue her content creation.

While I sulked in the car, Jess continued creating her content. She returned later with a smile and incredible photos.

She whipped up a delicious shrimp and broccoli dish served in a hollowed-out pineapple. Her presentation and dedication were inspiring, even as I grappled with frustration over the loss of my phone.
