I’ve always been one to seek out the hidden beauties tucked away in the folds of nature. So, when my Canadian friend Simone shared an Instagram post of a captivating waterfall in St. Mary, I found myself drawn to the idea of discovering this hidden paradise. With a DM sent and a reply that both intrigued and deterred me, I decided to embark on an adventure that would lead me to one of the most stunning and lesser-known waterfalls in the region. It all began at the St. Mary bus stop, where my curiosity led me to strike up a conversation with the fare collector.
Little did I know that this chance encounter would set the wheels in motion for an unforgettable expedition.
His local insights and directions not only encouraged me but also provided the much-needed guidance to navigate through the area.
Boarding a bus to Broadgate, I found myself amidst a vibrant community where the locals were welcoming and eager to assist.
A brief stop, a conversation by the roadside, and suddenly, I had a guide willing to accompany me on this quest to the waterfall.
Our journey commenced through narrow tracks, passing quaint houses that seemed to breathe the essence of this community.
As we traversed through the Wag Water River, witnessing locals immersed in their daily routines, we delved deeper into the lush wilderness.
The trek became more rugged, leading us to ascend colossal rocks and navigating through the dense foliage, our journey led to the revelation of Colington Waterfall.
Upon arrival, the sight of the waterfall, albeit trickling, was nothing short of breathtaking.

Though I wished for its waters to flow more vigorously, the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings were unparalleled.
